For icebun: "Lance/JC and phonesex if possible."
"I'm just sayin'. It's a good thing that we've got unlimited minutes, or we'd both be in serious trouble right about now."
Lance laughed, deep and warm and full-chested. When he'd been sixteen, this sort of thing would have afforded him the chance to tangle his fingers in the phone cord, tug at it and play with it like it was his partner's hair, but cell phones had changed the way that the whole thing worked. Then again, when he'd been sixteen, it would have been a girl on the other end of the phone. "Am I supposed to ask you what you're wearing next? That's standard procedure, right?"
"Oh, baby," JC said, and dropped his voice in an attempt to sound sultry. "I'm all decked out in scuzzy sweatpants and a wifebeater. I bet you I look sexy for you."
JC had the ability to turn the word "sexy" into about eighteen syllables. Lance had always admired it. The effect was spoiled when JC dissolved into that glorious full-on laugh. Lance closed his eyes and grinned in return. "Seriously, C, do you feel as ridiculous as I do, doing this?"
"Yeah," JC said, when he finally stopped laughing. "But you know, it's okay. If this is the only way I get to touch you while I'm on the road, I'm going to be as Zen about it as I can, you know?"
"Yeah," Lance said. "Okay. Yeah, I can agree with that."
"Right then. Now. What are you wearing?"
Lance looked down. "A pair of your flannel pants, actually. They were in my laundry."
"So that's where they went." JC sounded exasperated. "Okay. You know what? Go ahead and take 'em off."
Lance propped his phone up in the crook of his shoulder and neck and struggled out of the pants. "Okay."
"Okay." JC paused for a second, maybe to swallow or lick his lips, and when his voice came back it was suddenly serious. "We're backstage. Boston. It's cold outside, and there are voices just outside the dressing room. The girls are getting ready in the room just outside, but you close the door behind you and say that we've got fifteen minutes..."
Lance swallowed. It suddenly didn't seem as ridiculous anymore.
