For msktrnanny: "Chris/Lance : choosing music to fill an iPod."
They each got one free veto, and Lance used his on Good Charlotte and Chris used his on Garth Brooks before they even started. They put the iPod on the table between them and looked at each other with the sort of look that said that they loved each other very much, very very much dammit, and that no matter how hard this was going to be, their relationship was strong and they could get through it.
"Tool," Chris said.
Lance thought about it for a second. "Four kisses. I actually kind of like them." Chris marked it down in the notebook he held. Lance tilted his head to one side and bit his lip. "Jars of Clay."
"Oh, God," Chris said. "I should have saved my total veto. Uh ... three blowjobs, Bondage Night, and a visit to PopRocks next time we're in Manhattan."
Lance winced. "That's expensive."
"They're bad," Chris said.
"Okay, okay. I'll take it, dammit, but I'm going to remember that one. Your turn."
Chris tapped the pencil on the notebook. "Roni Size."
Lance looked off into the distance for a minute, pursed his lips thoughtfully, and finally said, "Two blowjobs, one night of my choice on top or bottom, and an IOU for a night of your presence at a major industry function that you don't want to go to."
"You had me going up until the last one. Cross that off and ... uh ... I'll take E Nomine instead."
"Five blowjobs, one night of my choice on top or bottom, and an Unspecified Kink Night for future selection."
"Sold. Okay, you next."
Lance leaned over and flicked down the master library playlist, his eyes scanning their mixed music collection. "Reba McEntyre?"
"Carte blanche for a night with JC." Chris grinned.
Lance winced. "You play dirty, dammit. All right, I'll take it. You?"
"Garbage."
"I was waiting for that. Okay, the ability to watch your night with JC."
"Sold. Hell, you could have had that for free anyway." Chris scribbled that down on his side of the tally. It was going pretty well; maybe they'd actually get the iPod filled up before midnight, and he was sure looking forward to cashing in on what Lance was using for currency. It was easier to agree on music for the road trip when they had to purchase the right to inflict it on the other, after all.
